Welcome to Green Valley – and the Green Valley Landowners Association (GVLA). Our organization was started 49 years ago with the mission to preserve and enhance the rural character of Green Valley. Our dedication to this mission continues today.

In 2023, we will be working with local officials and organizations to encourage and champion improvements to our utilities, amenities, fire safety and surroundings, as well as preserve our Valley’s rural beauty, agricultural bounty, and strong sense of community.

Several of the changes we are monitoring, include:

• The Cordelia Fire Protection District (CFPD) is working to ensure the safety of all residents in our Valley by negotiating a long-term agreement with the Fairfield Fire District for fire and emergency services.

• The Green Valley Fire Safe Council worked diligently to secure a California Vegetation Treatment grant and is working with CAL FIRE and the CFPD to clear and extend a shaded fuel break along the ridgetops at the west and north ends of Green Valley. A second grant to extend the fire break along the eastern valley edge is in the works.

• The planned Middle Green Valley development, which is heading into its next round of approvals and activities, as it moves ever-closer to building a new village and 390 new homes to the west of Green Valley Road off Mason Road.

The GVLA Board of Directors is aware of and active in the discussions regarding these changes in order to safeguard the best interests of Green Valley.

As you review our website, if you have suggestions, thoughts about any of our initiatives, or would like to join our efforts in working toward solutions for the issues we face, please let us know.

Thank you for your support!
